[color=66ff00]Tried to get him to listen to Satan by Orbital, the 'live in NY' version. Totally killer tune.
As for your musical meanderings I think I'll give them a listen to master wEvil.

Orbital rock ;) - one of my current favourites is "Sad But True" from Snivilisation
-
[color=66ff00]The whole Leftism album by Leftfield is a good party album, ambient album and weirdly a very good album to revise to (doing biology exams ATM :D ) great stuff.

Remix of a VNV nation track

I'm not much of a techno person, myself, but Ascension is pretty cool.

Maeglamor: Were gonna get along great, i LOVE Orbital and Leftfield :D
Satan Spawn is a wicked track, but my favourite Orbital track is Chime. Favourite Leftfield one is probably Original, or Swords.
Anyway, i checked out your tracks evil one :) Pretty good.
Are U Ready? has a somewhat Orbital feel to it, much like Chime in fact. I liked it.
Love the bass-drum in system down, big fan of distortion i am :)
Got some real good ideas, i just think you need a bit more reverb on some of your lead sounds, and maybe more compression on the drums.. other than that, i cant really fault these.
-
Shivans is pretty cool. I would like it more if it weren't so techno-y ;) :p
-
[color=66ff00]OK for all you Orbital fans out there I uploaded Satan for you. 'Tis a splendid tune.
Satan (www.3dap.com/hlp/staff/maeglamor/Orbital - Satan.mp3)
Even if you haven't heard it you should listen anyway, you might just like it.

[color=66ff00]I'm sorry but unless you can get 'Leftfield live in dublin' I really can't help unfortunately it's a rarety and the whole thing is about 100megs on soulseek/kazaa whatever.
If you can get Leftfield's live set then you are in for a treat. Something tells me that anyone within 50 feet of those speakers is now catatonic or dead. Bangin' stuff!
Not quite in the same vein but DJ shadow is generally pretty good or if you want something specifically drum and basey then try Aphex twin or Squarepusher. Aphex is the more tuneful of the two but the things that you hear on some squarepusher tracks are just fantastic.

You'd do well to checkout:
Leftfield
Basement Jaxx
Autechre
Squarepusher
Aphex Twin
Amon Tobin
Prodigy
Chemical Brothers
Those are the groups i like anyway, from the top of my head. Tons more, but as is the case when you try and list the things you like, there is too many to be bothered to list :)

[color=66ff00]Ahh yes Autechre, very interesting stuff, you like Boards of Canada or fourtet?

"The Egg" is a very good track :)

Aphex twin and Squarepusher are both ****ing awesome. Got to see the twin live at Reading Festival last year too. Pretty damn spectacular I must say.

[color=66ff00]I can top that :)
My brother was doing sound tech for a local disco/pub when Squarepusher came to play, he got a good look at all of Squarepusher's stuff and SP jammed a bit on the bass before starting his set. After the set was over he asked my brother if he knew of any parties going down, my brother actually said no! Frankly I would've started knocking doors in the student area just to find one.
