If you could, well, receive all the profits of a gaming comany (you know, like Volition, Interplay, Cryo, Team17, etc.) which one would you choose... or, which one do you think makes the most money!?
I'd go with Blizzard, cause they've released in the last year two games that have hit record highs: Diablo 2, and Warcraft 3.
In addition, they have Starcraft/Broodwar, which millions and millions of people are still playing/buying.
so yeah, i'll go with Blizzard. anyone want to challenge that?
i dunno why i thought of this, just was curious what you think :D
-
if i where a capitalist id to to EA
note all of the ea sports titles that they toss out every year and they do get bought (**** knows why :D )
but i also would take blizzard cuz they make quality titles :)
-
aha, he seconds my opinion
:nod::yes:
:D

Hmm, as above, If I was a commercialist I'd go for EA, nearly every game you come across is published by EA, bastards!
Anyway, if I were to get a developer's profits, I'd say Introversion.

EA for the money..
The only good EA Sports games are the NHL series...
Bioware.. just because...
Christ... I gotta go play some more NWN.... its like Crack I tells ya... Expensive and bad for the head....
-
you idiots! have you forgotten already? you must be head of interplay so you can sell the FS rights to V!
-
Microsoft.
-
EA maks more than the Game Div. of MS....
-
Not game division. Whole thing.
-
He said game company...
-
MS makes games. Whether they make other things or not is irrelevant.:D
-
ME Games is a completely separate entity from the rest of it...
just owned by the same guy...

with the exception of EA. Almost every none sci-fi game I own, save the AOE series (Which is MS by the way), Ghost Recon and Half life, has EA on it.

half life is pubished by sierra

Microsoft cause they got Splinter Cell *Drool* and Halo. Which will both come out on computer. ;)
-
Bleah. I was talking about the money. MS makes crap games, with few exceptions (HALO looks kinda cool, I guess).
For the games, I'd say a reconstituted Bullfrog, with Molyneux back in it. Him and the old Bullfrog team, with modern graphics? Oh baby...

I thought Splinter Cell was by Ubi Soft or whoever.

If i were work for a developer and wanted the money, I'd have to say Rare, look at the cash they raked in for their N64 successes.
But now they've been bought my MS.:(

EA Games is the most successfull publisher, though i think it's borken into various development houses.
I think Rockstar must make a few bob from the GTA games in particular, and they're from Scotland, too :)! (Dundee - hence the word 'Quine' in Vice City). Codemasters, Eidos and DMA are Scottish too IIRC. So are Mucky Foot, though they're not so famous (Startopia, Blade II). And a guy who graduated from my uni started up a development company - they made an early PS2 title called 'Airblade' or something, I think - although they may be 'rupt now.
NB: Rare posted record losses fairly recently.
