Title: Speed loss with FSOpen

Is there any significant speed loss just using FS2_Open, without glowmaps or damage decals or whatever?

I'd test it myself, nbut my framerate already tends to fluctuate dramatically with FS standard, so I don't really have a benchmark.

There's a significant negative speed loss. :D

In other words, fs2_open has been optimized quite a bit.  Many people report that it plays faster than retail FS2. :)

Which is odd since :V: removed stuff like 3DNow! when they released the sc.
