Modify: Forum Display Templates -> forumdisplay_announcement  and remove those two highlighted brackets. It'll fix the multi-line thingy that occurs when admins with DX-Filters or table tags in their titles post announcements. Should do anyway.

Hmm... good point - glad you brought it up. Why in the world do we need to post announcements as some impersonal "Announcements" persona? It's not like we should be embarassed to be known as "The Admin Who Posted That Announcement", right? Or am I missing something entirely?

I did it a couple of times by accident, and Shrike growled at me. ;) I think because the avatar used to appear on the thread index.

Delete that then.

Yes. It's supposed to be announumous (sp?) so that they won't know which one of you to knock off.

No, the entire reason is because the guys were lazy and stuck their avatars in their titles - I have it set under the proper avatar field, so mine doesn't show up if I post announcements.

you know, I just glanced at the announcment title and thought it said "multifactorial" instead of "multifolder," then looked at it again more carefully and still thought it said multifactorial (which is what I have been obsessed with for the last week; maybe this stuff is getting to me :nervous: ), and finally saw the word right on a third, even more careful examination.

You know very well that you can only have more than one avatar by making use of the title field. Of course, most of us admins don't have more than one avatar, but personally, I have mine all image-mapped, which needs to be HTML, too. :D
