how does it work exactly? I've made an alteration to the Azrael and am trying to implement an awacs system (yes, I know it's cheap) into it. I've made the subsystem, put it into the table data, added path data, and it still does not function correctly.

I've added AWACS to the Fenris and Leviathan, since they have those radar dishes (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

well, here's the thing. I added the awacs flag. but, the actually functions of this flag aren't automatic are they? I thought I had to add in the set-awacs-radius sexp. this is where it messes up, FRED can't find the awacs subsystem I put in, and when I input the data manually, it gives an error message saying the subsystem I entered was incorrect (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong! If anyone likes, I could send out a copy of the table and POF to se if I've made any fatal errors. this is my last ditch effort.

Did you put the AWACS data in the subsystem?
Like so?
$Subsystem: radara, 10, 0.0
$AWACS: 1.0 2500.0

Try using the Vasudan AWACs table entry but changing the model reference... that might work...then you could just change the stats as needed...
