i beat that map a few days ago

i swear i made it, but in the cutscene it says "Alpha 1 sacrificed his life so other could make it safely" or something like that

Never heard it refered to as a map before :p

Bassically you have to be in the node and hit alt-j before 20 seconds. The nova kills you if you aren't completely in the node which has to be closed all the way itself, meaning it can't still be "open" even if you are in.

it's because i play Starcraft so much, and they're reffered to as "maps" not "missions"...

You mean space sims in general....
Starlancer... Tachyon... they use missions too...
