Well, more junk from me.
I won't be finishing any models for awhile now except to just look at.
I've got to go out and buy a new copy of FS2 now. My cd-rom did some really nasty things to both of the play cd's.
You really can't get anywhere when the game refuses to acknowledge MISSLES!
Anyway, this is a light/strike bomber. I'm really debating slapping a nose-turret on there.

If anyone wants it as some type of 3ds format email me.

~Space Kitsuné
6-tailed modder.

Very nice, live back things.
Calling it the Oval? he he
-
Looks like a Cloakshape fighter from SW
-
Actually the original idea was to have two huge fans within the 'wings'.
And I've never seen that fighter you're referring to.

That would make it look like one of the ornithopters in Dune (the mini-series not the film) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
Ugh. NEVER remind me of that misbegotten creation! Dune the miniseries (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/rolleyes.gif)
-
The movie was good. I'm waiting for it to be remade.
Though I couldn't make it past chapter 5 of the books. God I was so bored.
-
The books were better material for spinoffs than as books on their own. I know- I read all of them! And the movie, games minus Emperor, etc. were all good. But anyway. Looks like a giant manta ray.
-
Hey Kitsune, that ship owns! Give it some Starlancer style textures and it'll rock (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
Dude, it looks cool! I saw the front image and thought it was a Serapis, then saw the side image and thought it was an Athena... saw the top and realised it was something completely different (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif) Nice job, Kitsune! I think it's too flat, and the fish tails ar quite "kitsh", otherwise it's a nice design (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Perhaps if the wings were swept back a bit it'd look better?
-
Actually they are swept back.
And I've never played starlancer. So I wouldn't know of the coloring schemes.
Any other works will ahve to wait untill I've finally finished the station I'm doing. When you're nose to nose with a 'window' of light in the habitat ring, you'll be able to see a room with some detail.
It's that big.

So will be the polycount then...

Nah, just highly detailed textures I'd guess - look at the Vasudan Escape pod (Ra?) - you can see (as well as the mooning Vasuda) hands pushed up against the wiondows - and that's on a relatively small map area. Use a repeated 256x256 map and you could have a fair amount of detail if the window was covering the most of the map
-
Well no, the poly count is really high.
I don't have any plans for using it as a mod.
Anyone remember the pictuers of the space station I posted awhile back?
The one that looked a bit like DS9?
It doesn't have the same mass, but it's larger than the collossus.
-
The GTI PolyHog. Good idea- put it in a mission with a modeled version of the Rendering Cockpit, and you've got a... crashed computer. Sounds schoveet.
