Title: Battletech
Post by: ShadowWolf_IH on January 30, 2003, 08:58:14 pm
I don't know how wide spread this is, but an old member of my Mech3 team found this and we have been playing it on occassion.  A tabletop battletech game online.  It's pretty cool.  You play by IP though.  Anyway, there is another program out there that allows you to customize the mechs and add them to the game.

Just thought I'd share.......and if anyone wants to play...just whistle.

Megamek (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=47079)

The version we are playing is Megamek 0.28.0

I just got MW3 yesterday actually, tho  with the awesome results I have with videogames nowadays, I think I'll wait for my videocard to arrive first to try it ( damn  drivers ).

We had a kick ass mech 3 team.  Then mech 4 came out. I hate mech 4.  The mechs move like horny librarians.  The game is not missile friendly at all.  Basically it was a typically microsoft game, all glamor and no guts.

Anyway, for btech, not mechwarrior, this game is the way to go.  It even comes with a map editor.  And Fetty?  We need to have a long talk sometime......

Is this particular metaphor supposed to have some unambiguous interpretation?

So were you saying that the MW4 mechs move slowly, or quickly, or randomly, or unexpectedly, or only when they hear a loud noise, or what?

ok, you ever see something and think....that just looks wrong?  You can't explain it, but it does.  take the Shadowcat, for example, it looks.....prissy when it walks.  For lack of a better term, the mechs look like they are afraid to put feet down or something.  Thus, they look wrong.....about as wrong as a horny librarian.  Understand now?
