Probably this:
(http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/tap/dragonclaw/lucyearthtb.jpg) (http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/tap/dragonclaw/lucyearth.jpg)
Image: 1280x960 (no I do not support weird resolutions like 1280x1024 anymore), if anyone wants this as a desktop I can resize it to 1024x768, 800x600, etc. if you need.
Enjoy ;)
[edit]crap, just now realized I forgot to turn down the turrets of the Orion, bah, too lazy to fix that =p [/edit]
I should make a small movie for u guys sometime, but busy doing ani's for Venom (grrr :p)

The Earth beam
The muzzle glows
Lucy is too far away from the Earth
Beams wouldn't do THAT much damage
Not enough ships around

Ever seen the FS1 ani where the lucy blasts Vasuda Prime and a few ships go by the lucy to escape? The Lucifer was further away from Vasuda Prime then it is to Earth at the moment. And the Lucifer beams annihilated Vasuda Prime, so... don't see why it can't do that much damage =p
Anyway, just hte way I depict the event happening, everyone has their own opinions, so I respect yours =]

Technically, it only shows a city going kaboom. "bombarded for twelve hours" I believe- that wouldn't be that one little beam shot.:D
I feel like a complete and total geek for knowing this.
-
don't feel bad. i was gonna bring up the same point.
but it think it was thirteen hours
-
See, at least I didn't have the time right.:D
Now, I can't decide if that's better or worse.
-
I think it was actually fourteen hours. And the Lucifer was a lot closer to the planet, unless Vasuda Prime is more than ten times larger than Earth. Check out that small video with the Vasudan shuttle (or whatever) leaving the planet.

i agree with GE
exept that i dont like both beams and the orion should do something :)
-
orion crispness, yes.
Beams? Hmmm. The "earth beam" needs to shrink a bit more off into the distance, remember perspective, kiddies. :p
-
Lol bah ppl like to pick apart technicalities :p Oh well :p

It does, its a 3D beam, (made both beams+and the shockwave by myself btw :p). Its just that the end gets even smaller as it goes in, but the explosion at the end covers up the smaller part of it.

Listen to Carl, it was 13.

I'm sure the Lucifer used it's laser turrets also.

I like! Could you send a copy to me in 1024x768? [email protected] (take out the -remove)
-
adding to the crtics: the beam going through the orion should spawn an explosion even on the lucifer's side, not only the exit "wound"
