Title: Any way to disable command in levels?

Just curiouse. Is there any way to disable or modify command in FS1 and FS2 levels?

You could just try and open up a FS1/2 mission (extract it from the VP) and tinker around with it. That's how I learnt how missions worked.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Messages.tbl, you can edit out command there...

Not sure on a mission by mission case though.... ( think in FS2 there is a no command or messages checkbox )

In FRED2 go to editors then mission specs. In the mission specs window there should be a checklist. To disable command check the box that says No Traitor.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

The Disable in game messages box directly above it might also be what you are after.
 It will however turn off messages from the fighters too (except those you put in)
