Title: SF Chimera Available for download
Post by: Nico on October 13, 2001, 10:09:00 am
well, as I say.
It's available for d/l on the OtT website in the download/misc section :
 http://www.chez.com/venom2506/index.html (//"http://www.chez.com/venom2506/index.html")

I'm working on it again, tho, so the version I'll use in OtT will look better and have lods and debris too.

Maybe save it as a self extracting rar file so that you don't need winrar?

of course, since it's not a zip. try to change a bmp to a jpeg to see what happens  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/rolleyes.gif)
Damn just get winrar.  If you don't want, well don't download the file, period. rar are smaller than zip, so i'll use rar and that's all. Get used to it.

Okay i understand your reasoning for using RAR but most of us don't use it. Could you PLEASE make a self extracting RAR? I dont want to have to download WinRAR just for this...

Yes, if you agree to use a french interface.

Your computer really should be able to open at least .zip, .rar, .ace and .tgz files. Otherwise there really isn't any point in having an internet connection.

I agree, but youre better off downloading WinACE, it can open zip, rar, ace, cab, and about 10 other file types..

I dunno, I use PowerArchiver, which I'm very statisfied with becasue it uncompresses just about anything and it's free.

But anyways, I'm having troubles downloading the file. It seems to be not there, even the in the *.r00 file format... The link comes up empty.

Thanx for the tip Ypoknons.  Just downloaded it (now I can get rid of about half a dozen different archivers taking up space on the 'ol HD)
