Title: Directive Difficulty

I am working on a mission, and I'm trying to get a directive that says "Return to Base." I got that, but it appears right at the beginning of the mission. I looked at the first mission in the main freespace campaign and it says "has departed delay- Alpha 1." So I tried that and it still appeared at the beginning of the mission. I tried several other things, but it still appears at the beginning of the mission. What do I do?

set up an event, detecting the FINAL thing you want to happen in the mission and set it directly before the return-to-base directive. Then click on the RTB directive, and click the "chain(ed)" check box. :)

Make the RTB directive chained right after the event you want to trigger. Then, as soon as that's done, the chained event will happen.
