I got bored so I took a stab at making some hyperspace/subspace thingamjigs in PSP.

Oh, and I'm not looking for opinions on these actual pictures, just the general feel of them. IE, "I like the wooshy-lines but the round bits are ****", "Remove the stars".

I want generalised suggestions for future reference.

God with one of those annoying laser pointers?

It gives a fair sense of speed, but mostly one of hugeass lens flare. If you made the streaks thicker and more detailed (and fewer) it'd probably be more noticeable.

The first one looks like a render of the warp effect dealie.... the second picture looks like a picture of the warp effect dealie (like recorded by a camera). Both look very cool by the way.
