The proper plural is "Jediae".
Wait a minute. The government's violating the rules, here! It SHOULD be an official religion now!

Summoned, I come. In Valen's name, I take the place that has been prepared for me. I am Grey. I stand between the candle and the star. We are Grey. We stand between the darkness and the light.
K, now I want my friggin belief to be made official!
:p

I dunno about the HOL, but the Sect Of Divine Hard-Light have a few, simple practises:
- Ritual smoking of Space-Crack™
- Tireless brewing of Bosch B33r™
- "Smiteth and flameth thine trolls of yore"
- Keep Carl T. Shivan© supplied with fiesty young Virgins™ for 'sacrifice' on his 'altar of divine fondling'
- Don't go in the air-vents
- Don't call Thunder 'Thunder'....eerrr......
We are a peaceful, simple folk.
*grabs a net-gun, two spear-guns, some rohipnol and a map back to Carl's bedro...err....'altar'*

Actually the reasons behind this are not due to there being a huge number of fan boys in the UK (although that did help) but was more due to people being unhappy that their was a question on the census asking for everyones religion.
Since the census is an official document (and isn`t anonomous) many brits weren`t happy about a government document stating what religion they followed.
What made this worse was that since BY LAW you have to fill out the census and therefore can`t leave fields blank.
The news got round on the net that some rabid Star Wars fans were planning to put down Jedi as their religion and basically rather than risk a fine everyone who had a problem with that question put down Jedi Knight on the grounds that if enough people put the same nonsense answer the government wouldn`t be able to do anything about it
I was tempted to do the same myself and if I was agnostic I probably would have :p
-
uh no, Religion was the only field or one of the only fields thatYOU WERENT REQUIRED TO FILL OUT
-
I am one of those Jedi!

Yeah but they didn`t make that clear until much later :) Originally a lot of people believed that you were going to have to fill in your religion. Once the census forms actually appeared it became clear that you wouldn`t have to but by that time a large number of people had decided to put Jedi anyway.
EDIT : Something similar happened in New Zealand and I believe that there the religion question did require an answer.

That would be the English you're referring to, then
The rest of us neither play or care about rounders...er, cricket, and good ole Scotland loses to far worse teams than the Ozzies thankyouverymuch.
And when we do lose at footie (which is quite often....), we don't behave like we've got a god given right for all other teams to lie down and surrender in front of us.
-
sorry 'bout that..
i meant the english
-
Doesn`t help that the aussies and kiwi's also have their own jedi.
-
how do you think brett lee bowls so fast? :D
-
yeah, it does indeed look like Australia is well set to win the world cup again; some very impressive performances from them recently (my dad is a total cricket junkie, so I sometimes follow the games as well). also, did you hear about the home reaction after India's staggering defeat? Everyone started breaking the windows at the players' houses, throwing paint cans and burning effigies, and there were mob riots all over the streets, so the players are having to seek police protection to not get ripped apart. :D Although, being of indian origin and having watched that match, I can quite understand why everyone is so furious (indian performance was beyond pathetic). :p
btw there is a bowler on the australian team whose name I cannot recall at the moment, but he looks exactly like Kane from C&C. :D
-
except with a head of hair
i know who you're talking about but i can't think of his name...
BAH!
-
ha! I have no idea what you guys are talking about!
-
An australian Bowler who looks like Kane. :p
I bowl, but I don't know the famous bowlers too well. The extent of my knowledge ends at Brunswick Pro Bowling (PC) That I bought 3 years ago and haven't tocuhed in 2. That and the occasional tourny on ESPN.
CP, you bowl?

Actually, a bit much snow around here these days...

So I heard. What's the inch count these days?
my brain keeps saying "don't even go there"
meh :p
-
What? On the lesbians?
Oooh, I see. That makes more sense. About two feet, in places.

Yay!!! No school!... :blah:

The snow was around 31 inches around here, but it sort of piled up more heavily around outside objects. The cars parked on my driveway had at one point become completely buried, so you could not tell where they were. :D

well, he is bald, has the same kind of beard and generally looks quite similar. :D (can't remember the name though, might have been Hogg) I don't really play myself, just occassionally watch the matches on television and follow some statistics.

OMG. Wait till we see people going arround on the streets of british cities fighting and saying:
"No man, I am your second cousin, your mom knew that it was true..."
"NOOOOOO!"
Geez, talk about SW nerds :wtf:
