an Outerspace render! Hey, no ships this time sorry :p
(http://www.3dactionplanet.com/hlp/hosted/ott/renders/dronegrass.jpg)
the render itself didn't take much work, it was mainly a test for compositing. When I have a marine mesh ready, I'll make a nicer render with that beast.
It's an hive drone, subgender of the mycoid species.
4 meters tall, quite fast. Strong and agile, but somewhat fragile because of large uncovered parts of the body. Some smarter specimens tends to use their claws and head as a shield tho.

wanted a feeling that the pic was taken with a crappy camera.
With static, it's easy. Plus it makes compositing Oh! so much easier.

Coolness :D

Sweet stuff! I'd suggest to add some horizontal interlaced lines and a tad of monochromatic noise instead of the coloured noise. It'll add that artificial "video footage" feel that you see on tv and in the movies.
