Certain parties require the use of a fourth set of engine and flyby sounds (and what have you)

What's the situation with this item - doing it, done it, don't care about it, etc

I'd like to expand that whole area.  TBP would greatly benefit from multiple species and/or definable thruster sound/glows for our ships.  Some EA ships in TBP for instance have red and orange glows instead of the blue glows found on other vessels.

It would be great to define in the tables which thruster glow and flyby sound are used for the ship.

It's trickier than that. Species specifications are used for all sorts of things, from engine glows and flyby sounds to briefing icons and IFF states. Changing it would require a lot of work in many different areas.

But I think it would be one of the better additions.

makeing thrusterglows use any texture wanted would be a fairly trivial matter, but it would require changeing the model formatte, I do think it would be a good idea to bump the model formatte up to 3000 so we can do stuff like this
