During prolonged use it can be shaken for 10-15 seconds every 2 or 3 minutes.

Ummm yeeeeeeeeeeah

Ya walk into a room and there's this guy shaking his flashlight every 2-3 minutes like mad ,... only one thought appears .....issues

I guess it'd be good if you're only gonna need a light for a short time ,.. but if you're working on something and need the light do you really want to have to stop and umm shake your light, every few minutes ?  lol

actually i like the idea!

it's a good thing to have in your car (or tank in Sandwich's case) so if ever it breaks down at night or something you don't have to worry about dead batteries, you just shake it.  also good in emergencies (in Sandwich's case:  if the tread breaks and you have to make repairs during a battle).

I like it a lot

*buys one on Ebay*

there's be things like that for watches for ages ;) with the continous movement of your end, it doesn't even need to be shaked, the watch works by itself. My grandpa has ne like that, it's cool.

I have one like that - these things rock. It's got 6 months of charge in that just doesn't run down because I'm wearing it every day. Brilliant technology.

i've got like 7 watches, but i never wear them because the straps are all broken, i don't know why the straps always break on me

EDIT:

HAHAHAHAA
lol Turnsky!
Every 2 minutes you're lying in bed and you hear someone in the kitchen cussing, then you hear violent shaking... you know someone's broken in ;)

There are also ones that you pump by hand, a bit more convenient.

But me, I'm sticking to my halogen bulb and quad D cells. Inefficient, but you can see for half a mile.:D

Yeah, my dad had one of those. But the difference is that the amount of energy that a watch takes up is (I believe) far less than the amount a flashlight uses.

flashlights that you have to squeese to get light already existed in WW2, in dutch they're called a "knijpkat", bets translated as a "squeesing cat", because of the sounds it makes. they work just becuase of a dynamo. they're still sold in outdoor spoerting stores. and they have good light production AFAIK

Hey, neat. Pity it'd cost me a small fortune to get one shipped over here in good time.
