Yet ,.. kinna depressing :|

Starwars.com's (http://www.starwars.com/eu/feature/20030220/index.html/)

Sad thing is the team that does Dexter's Lab and Samurai jack are doing it. They're using one ofthe unused concepts for a villian,...that's already been used in Bounty Hunter ,...and all they did was change the name ,..same concept as the game's character,.... Dark Jedi chic that trained under Dooku and uses two sabers. Originallity shot.

and my favorite quote :

Quote
"Durge has these special powers. If you cut him down, he can reconnect himself. We have him face off with Obi-Wan. He rides a speeder bike with a lance, so we're playing around with ideas like jousting with other Jedi Knights on speeder bikes," laughs Tartakovsky

It's like Droids and Ewoks for the next generation LOL

Good, they're only 3 minutes long?

I must admit, ever since EP.1, I've slowly fallen from the Star Wars fan scene.

*cries because he can't remember how many turbolasers a Star Destroyer has*

LOL Well whereever you got it either someone made up something .... or just doesn't bother with aactual SW stuff :D

Here (http://www1.theforce.net/cuswe/categories.asp?category=7&type=55)

But it couldn't be a Vic 1 or 2 ... since those were the pre-emp of the Imperial class and much smaller.

;)

There is no Galactic Class.. at least a anon one. It sounds like a friggin' carrier though.

and it's not a Victory, they can only hold 2 squadrons of ties, not 12.

EDIT: Yes there are 2 Victories, but no Galactic

yeah, note the two websites posted above, they're actually very helpful!

note that there are actually some "annoymous" star destroyers, one of which i believe matches the specifications of the Galactic Class

OK, tell me what these are:

Spoiler:

A cargo of advanced Balmorran war-droids is unloaded from the star hauler Reliance at one of the surface freight ports of Byss.

I usually just go to Starwars.com or theforce.net

theforce has their whole goddamned canon Star Wars section that is a lovely refrence that I hate so much. :doubt:

EDIT: Reaver machines are known as War Machines IIRC. War Droids.. dunno. They were in SW Rebellion.

I tend to dismiss comic book stuff as just stuff that looks kool but isn't really canon.

BTW that exact link is blocked.

But ummm ... least it's funny :)

The Webmaster is a bit clueless thou ... saying a VSD was the preferred class of Grand admiral  Thrawn and his command ship was a Vic ? Ummm noooooo Chimera was a Imperial Class ... can't recall if it's a 1 or 2 thou.

And "Jedi Works" ?  LOL WTF ?

*shudder*

yea ... sorry bro...you got tagged with a worthless SW source lol

LMAO

Honestly ... unless I KNOW I read it or saw it in the films...I only use theforce.net or Starwars.com.

Especially with all the RPG sites with custom crap on them.

(Still shivers whenever he sees Macross stats for Starwars games)

I have the first Dark Empire, not the Second one though :(

The whole galaxy gun deal was kinda queer though as star wars goes. Eclipse was alot cooler, but 2?

Actually it was assigned to him. Remember Thrawn was on mission in the Unknown regions for most of his tour of duty by order of Palpy. When he returned and learned of the Empire's Fall...he pulled the remaining crap back together.

Sides I _THINK_ all the Super-class SDs were either destroyed or under New Reb. control by then.

Are you sure it was assigned? I thought Pellaeon was on it during the Battle for Endor, and the captain died. The Imperial Fleet was in Disarray wit hpalpy dead so they pulled back to Coruscant. I'm sure Pellaeon had it.

Meh, I'll be back in 6 hours.

Yea ... that's why I don't hold many of the comics as Cannon.

The Sovereign wasn't too shabby either ...from  Dark Empire 2 if I recall.

But just like this Clone Wars toon....too many ppl can take a great theme ... and fry the hell out of it. LOL

I just wanna know why someone hasn't told those twits that their concept for a Dark Jedi Villan is a 99% exact copy of the one from Bounty Hunter... same background even ... just a new name  lol

Ican see it now "Oh ... wellthey both just happened to be trained by Dooku, look exactly alike, and use two sabers...but completely different characters"   lol

damn i remember those books, with Thrawn who was going for those little creatures who were awesome fighters, and Leia went down to try to release them from "slavery", but they thought the admiral was doing them a favor, because he had drones helping plant stuff, but actually they were planting chemicals, and destroying them as much as building, so they always felt obliged to the Admiral, and always sent their people to fight for the admiral.  in the end, one of the "fighters" actually kills the admiral.

What books (book?) was that?

Also the one i remember perfectly clearly is with "Master" Luke Skywalker when he fights Kueller and Brakiss, etc.

DOH! You're right. I remembered Pallaeon being Thrawn's second in command and completely forgot Palleon actually took command at Endor UNTIL Thrawn showed up. ;)

Thanks for catching that.

BTW if you read the NJO series ... the latest book has a good bit about Palleon, really shows his personality well.

ahem :
Heir to the Empire
Dark Force Rising
Last Command

The Little assassins : Nohgri (sp?) and Vader was the original one that 'faked' saving their planet yet was actually making it worse, that just continued until Thrawn discovered them and made use of them....they listened to Liea because of her scent marking her as "Lady Vader" (Least I THINK they said scent) Once they realized what the Emps pulled on them,....one of their ppl thatwas Thrawn's bodyguard killed him.

and actually the Brakiss/Kueller event was different books, Kueller was in "New Rebellion" using droids as bombs,...Brakiss was getting the Droids for him but he didn't die until later (Young Jedi series I think) when the Shadow Academy was destroyed.

Someone remind me to read the rest of the NJO series this summer. I'm at the 3rd or 4th one.. Hero's Trial I think. Haven't had time to read them :doubt:

Wasn't the Sovereign the one that was almost like a SSD?

Is the Executor one of those?

Shame about the Clone Wars cartoon series. The best thing I liked about AOTC was seeing real life (well, RL-imitating) battles on the big screen. I might watch the series for 10 or 12 seconds and then change to the history channel.

IIRC, there's a frigate in the Battle of Endor (the view as the rebel fleet approaches the Death Star, I think) that looks a hell of a lot like the Hiipocrates.

Don't forget the Powerpuff Girls, they're from the same people.

BTW, whats wrong with any of these shows, granted Dexter's Lab has gotten somewhat crappy of late, but Jack is the coolest, most eloquent American cartoon character since Popeye.  Get's bonus point for having Mako as a recurring character.
