Title: Why Outlook, and by extension, Microsoft are gay.
Post by: Stunaep on February 23, 2003, 07:06:37 am
My dad got an important .xls file, that could possibly decide his career as an attachment that he needed to fill out and send back to the guy he got it from. Guess what. Outlook doesn't let people open .xls files, because they could potentially cause viruses.

The help suggests to upload the files to a share server.

I suggest  having Bill Gates raped by OJ Simpson in his ass-hole (both of them) until a big dead duck with a clown hat comes singing 'Oh Holy Night' in the White House, or Ronald MacDonald gets 4 breast implants and stars in the next episode of Friends, whichever occurs first.

Thank you for my attention.

help tells me it can't be done. I, naturally, do not trust help, but going through every menu in the entire system is a long job.

Why use outlook? IT SUCKS! And that is ancient news :p

Also tried saving the file to your HD and open it from there?

How about forwarding it to something like Hotmail?

Use winzip on the .xls-file and send the mail again.

Just delete the e-mail and accept that your dad would probably have been fired anyway.

It would help if you provided the text of the error message and the version of Outlook. Or were you just wanting to vent and not actually fix the problem?

This might help though--

I knew the day would come....

We are the Microsoft Borg
Lower your firewalls and surrender your operating systems.
Reliability as you know it is over.
Security as you know it is over.
Stability as you know it is over.
We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own.
Your computers will adapt to service us.
Resistance is futile!
