I've just been looking through some of the recent threads in this forum and... there are so many new ships. Forgive me if the answer is obvious, but what are they all for?

Some are for campaigns in the making, some are just for fun, some are for pet projects. All of them are for the game Freespace 2 (or 1 in some cases).

Ah, so the answer is simple. ;) I just didn't quite get it, since people seemed to be putting up ships for... no reason. Ah well.
