*sits and cries*
I've still not even started my Biology coursework. But, defying my natural urge to do absolutely nothing, I'm gonna pull my second all-nighter in a row (last-night was English night. Five hours and only a single A4 side of writing).
Tomorrow I will be?:
[list=a]- Very tired
- Feeling very content with a heightened sense of self-esteem
- Standing in the shower, freezing my ass off in the ice-cold water and fading between thinking I'm covered in oil and thinking I'm in a Spitfire taking incoming from German fighters over northern France (I've actually done that before and it is quite possibly the only thing to have ever truly scared me)
Anyway: Words of encouragement? Veiled threats? Copies of your coursework? Pictures of your really hot Biology teacher dancing hypnotically in gif format?
Y'know, I might go get a hot girlfriend just so there's someone who can persuade me to do some sodding work. I know that seems cold and shallow, but....welll....err........It is.
God, I'm bored.

your poor bastard

tsk tsk tsk

It's like he's in training to take over hell by living through it. :p

As someone who did A-Level biology 3 years ago, I say - despair! Then make a vow never to leave your course work to the last minute. Then break it - like me sometimes :D . Just curious, what's the coursework about?
-
Damn, I know what you're going through.
I have two, yes, TWO A-level IT projects to do in something like 5 weeks. On top of that, my Media Studies research project (on violence in computer games;7 ) has to be finished 1 week from today, and my Electronics has to be done in a few weeks.
An0n, try and resist all urges to do all-night sessions. I've done them before, and it's not worth it - it destroys you for the next day, so you fall asleep at about 7pm (which means you can't do any more work in the time before you usually go to bed), and you don't get anything done anyway - your brain can't function properly if it's been active for more than about 15 hours. You lose all your concentration, and creativity goes out the window (try doing something in FRED at about midnight when you've been up since 7am - see what I mean?). You're much better off getting a decent amount of sleep, enabling you to be much more productive the next day.
My coursework rules:
1: No working after midnight
2: Don't touch tea or coffee
3: Work really hard for 1-2 hours, then take a 15-20 minute break to do something active (eat or drink something, or go for a quick walk, run or bike ride - any exercise will do) before you start working again.
4: RELAX - don't pressure yourself, and do other things as well as work - sport is quite good, as is a hobby.
Anyway, get some sleep! Good luck with it, man! (That goes for anyone else doing this kind of crap as well.):)
-
Well I have to agree. Sleep is the best rest in the world but did you know that some of the greates scientist only slept for 2-4 hrs a day?

I did about a year ago, and i still feel like trash. And when you are to tired, you can't even fall to sleep when you are tired. I know it sounds weird but i had that.

I know exactly what you are talking about. By the way, don't try to do anything like that again.

I am not planning to:)

If your a proper man youl work best when your under pressure, so dont do anymore work on your coursework until the last night and do an all nighter.
Studies by my mates at Manchester Uni on alevel students over coursework found blokes coursework when done early and fragmented was worse then last minute all in one go course work, the girls are the opposite of this........ strange.

Yeah, the whole mofo'ing system is geared towards women.
It's been proven numerous times that men do better at tests and women do better with all this spread-out, modular crap.
Anyway, my coursework is already a few months late and if I don't hand something in tomorrow, I'm a ****ing dead man.
*is going to start The Potato Plan in about 15 minutes and not stop till it's done*
Then I'll only have my other, 20-page, piece to do. And my English. And Maths homework. And probably some Chemistry homework.
-
Think of it this way- if you learn your chemistry properly, you can learn to make most high explosives. And biology... well, my biology teacher is used to teaching retards, so she thinks coloring's a bit challenging for an AP class. Can't help ya there.
'Course, I had a more hands-on chemistry class, too. Nutty teacher (and not in the good way), but ah, the memories... of flaming tables mostly, but still. Good pyro class.

*just tried to do his coursework*
What the ****??!?!
I swear to God, that's the wierdest thing ever. I'm sat there, staring at an essay-bank essay thinking "Okay, I know what kind of stuff needs to go in it, I'll start now" and I couldn't ****ing type.
Literally. I couldn't move my fingers.
You know when someone is jabbing something into your arm and you're trying to pretend it doesn't hurt even though it's stinging like a *****? I got that all up my arms.
I think my subconcious just paralysed me to stop me doing the work.
I hate my psychy.
This problem needs to be rectified. Killing some brain-cells should teach my ****ing head not to be a....eer.......thigndf.. Gah! You traitorous mind thingy.
I swear, my mind is literally working against me and it's starting to scare me.
-
drugs are bad, mmmkay?
-
Dude, I'm serious.
I just tried to do it again and I started feeling sick.
This is no-way ****ing right.
-
And yet you can type just fine here. I'd say either a psychosomatic reaction of a seriously ****ed-up sort or a put-on.
