A test render of a small landscape with water and gras.
And just for fun a snow landscape thingy.
C&C is welcome
Program: Lightwave7.5
Res: 1024*768

The other side of the island looks, well, weird. :p
But it's good anyway.
-
It looks like that grass is growing right into the water, and maybe a little beneath. I'd suggest blending in a sand strip around the water's edge to help with the transition. Otherwise, looks great
-
Thanks for the C&C i'll make some adjustments later:)
-
Methinks same as StratComm - the join between the grass and the water is too abrupt and steep. It needs some sort of beach or bank type thing to break it up and make it look rougher.
The snowy one's great, though. :)

you found sasquash ( or whatever it's spelled ), congrats :D

They maby look like that, but they are LW:D
*MEH ATTACK!*:nervous:

Hey, its only a good thiing that you can do Vue d'Esprit grade renders in LW. Vue d'Esprit is totally landscape based and can make some excellent renders. It only proves your skillz :p
-
You got a point there:D
-
I think it looks awesome!
But the clouds in the second pic look too 'flat'.
Still good! :)
-
w00t! Me likes! I think that second one is my fave. Good work. :)
-
Nice renders. By the way, how did you create water in lightwave? Is there a tutorial on that?

Grass hill looks like a green duck.
The Snow is awesome :D
-
nice mountains :)
-
There's so much detail there... that's fantastic.
-
Thanks for the comments:)
I like doing landscapes:)
-
For the missile did you use a particle trail right?
And as far as the landscapes are concerned WAY TO FLAT!!!
Use a particle system for clouds (find a tutorial). They would look more realistic that way.
And because I can't resist...
MAX OWNS LIGHTWAVE!!! ;)
EDIT: Did you use a noise map for the mountains or did you download them cause they look 133t. :D

WTF! to flat!? There are hills/mountains all around it.
I used hypervoxels for the trail they are a volume.
I couldn't be arsed to use particles for the clouds. I already spended a day messing around with procederal layers to get the snow effect.
And next time please do resist the urge to post max is better then LW stuff

I was speaking of the clouds.
Other then the clouds I like what you have done. The snowscape especially.
EDIT: Remember you wanted the water texture that I used in my render? Do you still want it?
-
I can't remember i ever asked you, about a water texture;) Wel post it then i'll decide:) Mine has to be more reflective.
