Post by: Tiara on March 02, 2003, 09:13:50 am
Meh... was bored... Made a simple wallpaper.

Can be found here, in the minimod datatbase (http://vakwerk.df2u.com/hlpminimod/minimod.php)

Nice! A couple of things that (might) make it better...

The lightning should hit the bottom of the image, it doesn't...

You could try playing with the FS2 logo, but I don't entirely know what you'd do with it. Just alter it slightly to make it "different". But that's really up to you :)

Yeah, I'll redo the lightning quickly... But the logo stays. I tried to change it a bit but it came out real... different. It lost its FS2 aura :p

Fair enough ;)

Come to think of it I wish there was a higher resolution version of that logo... I mean one large enough to resize and play about with - try making the one you're using larger and the thing looks really dodgy...

I see you like my font. :D

I reccomend you scale up the FS2 logo, with anti-aliasing, then use the $ font symbol as an alpha channel.

IF I make the logo any bigger it will look out of proportion. I already tried what you said.

It looks out of proportion when you scale it up? How?

It just looks better when its a bit smaller. Else your desktop is too busy.

And the out of proportion is because if I make it bigger the FREESPACE text looks too small. The logo takes all the attention :p I think its kinda good like this.

Any more comments?

still the logo... sorry :p
have you tried blurring it just a bit? Not sure would it improve the pic or not though.

Otherwise, it's good... can't really think anything to change in it...

(I'd have left the left edge clear myself though -and perhaps added some more lightning to the right side and lowered the opacity. But that's just because my icons are usually on the left)
