Pretty good, those beams actually look like beams.  I've seen better renders of the Raynor though.  Needs more natural lighting, and some turret repositioning, but that's not an issue with your pic.

thanks.:)  KT says that the glow at the base is too transparent or something.  I used solarcell for that cause i didn't know what else to use.

I like the beams. They are great, but for some reason the glow at the base looks like The Blob™ to me.

Maybe it's just because it's you :p

I used a lightsaber tutorial (http://www.bluesfear.com/tutorials/Lightsaber.htm) and just messed around with it.  You can PM me if you want to know exactly how i did it.

I like Lobby's better :p

You're are too black and white.. black being the color, white being the white. They look comic bookish. Replace them with your sabers

The main problem I see is that the green glow is too opaque - it needs to be more transparent, but not too much. Do this...

*points to title*

Make sure that the blending mode of the layers you have your glows on is set to screen. Then, if it still looks blobby (bloby? One "b" or two? :p), reduce the opacity of the green glow layer only (you do have the green glow on a different layer from the white core, correct?).

Also, try and get the green glow to progressively be more transparent the further it is from the white core, both at the warm-up as well as the beam itself. Basically, the white should be solid all the way through, liek it is, but the green should go from solid (right next to the white) to completely faded out around the circumference.
