this thing bugged me out :nervous:
-
Piece of cake ;) I had this one cracked the first time I looked at it.
It'll always be a multiple of 9 (between 9*1 and 9*9), and the symbols are all the same for multiples of 9. Try that.
-
[edit] argh I opened up the posting window to make a post but got tied up with something else for a while, only to find that there was a new post there. :p :D
Anyway, StratComm is correct on that; any two digit integer can be written as 10x + y, where x and y are one-digit integers, so the procedure they instruct you to carry out is 10x + y - (x + y) = 9x, so you will always get a number that is a multiple of 9. The symbols on the chart are randomized on every try so that you don't see the same thing every time, but if you look carefully you will notice that all of the 9 multiples always have the same symbol, so it just displays whatever that is.

You have to be quick on these things CP. Of course I should have known to let the math whiz take this one from the start. You get the next one ;)
*and he goes and outdoes me on the explanation*
-
Yup. If you look at 36, for example, the symbol next to 36 changes every time and is always the answer.
-
92 doesn't work
-
Does work stealth,
92
9+2=11
92-11=81
Look at the symbol next to 81 and voila!

lol, I thought I might have gotten this one, but I guess I was a little too late... :D
However, I confess that I did not get it immediately; although I saw the 9 multiple thing before clicking it, it took me a few tries to notice that it was changing around the symbols. :p :D
-
ok i get it noe :o.... but its a good way to spooke someone...
-
i meant 93
-
Works as well:
93
9+3=12
93-12=81
Look at the icon next to 81 and voila
