I was bored! :D
(http://www.boomspeed.com/killfrenzy/hellebore.jpg)
The first person to tell me where it came from (ie, what the inspiration was) gets it!!
I'm still working on the main weapon, but due to the way she is supposed to fight, she will be PLAYER FLYABLE!!!
Incidentally, this was my first attempt at semi-organic modelling. I'm working up to the Mon Calamari cruiser for the SWTC.

BFG, eldar ship.
-
Give that man a prize!
But for an extra bonus, can you tell me which one! :ha:
-
Nah - it's a Vasudanised version of the fighter from Battelstar Galactica :D
-
the aurora?
-
Vasudan subspace vessel. Can create its own jump point :D
EDIT: And why does this ship remind me of a Minbari vessel?
-
no idea, but the original ships looks even more like minbari ships. well, the other way around actually, since BFG is muuuuuuuuuuuuuuch older and the eldar ships didn't have any major redesign in the last edition.
-
Syill it also could be a Vasudan subspace vessel capable of creating its own opening in subspace ;)

don't all ships do that to an extent? ;)

well, yeah :)
that's what happens when you push alt-j or when you leave a colossus standing stupidly in the capella system :)
-
Thats intra system, nodes are inter system.
Else the nodes would be useless all together...

well, you never mentioned intersystems :D ( what? I'm *****ing? ewwwww :drevil: )
-
Well, BFG is younger than B5, HOWEVER the original designs for Eldar ships have been around since 1989 - the design team cleaned them up and adjusted them slightly.
I like Tiara's idea though of it making inter-system jumps without nodes. :)

nah, there was the first edition of BFG, which was older.
For the original design, Eldars in Rogue Trader ( the very first W40k game ) already featured ships that looked like that ( they were just space pirates by then, then they got the whole worldcrafts and stuff, and the pirate stuff has been carried on by the dark eldars ). I don't remember when rogue trader has been produced, tho.

Hey, this could be a new way to Sol :D
*makes campaign where Vasudans proceed to destroy Sol*

well, I'd rather want the imperial destroyers :)
-
I like it! Being one who cannot texture anything textured is well... fun to look at. Great Job and i love that shiny blue stuff on the back ;7
-
I really like it. What size will it be? Looks like a corvette.

The Pulser destroyer, Hemlock? Not sure of name, but the describtion, in the manual goes something like 'this ship is more like a flying gun when a true warship'
Or, the Aconti Frigate.
Very nice model BTW;) Is she stable now, or do you still need to sort out submodels?

Well, she is 'sort of' stable. She's only one Lod, and that's split off into various sub-objects. If anyone wants to bother trying to turn the 'blobs' on the bow into various turrets to create a weapons battery (BFG players will know) then I'll send you the ship.
Incidentally, she's a Hellebore class Frigate - I just gave her three solar panels instead of two. :)
Also, BFG is a new game. The game that you're thinking of, Venom, is Space Fleets (or something like that).
And I am NOT doing the Planet Killer!!! You can naff off with that one! Unless you want to do the texturing to make it look as if she's got raised surfaces because I am NOT going to model every single bump on her!
I may try a Cobra though......
And she's about the size of a corvette, but she's player flyable to fit in with how these things are supposed to attack.

Better than me. I can only get 1 submodel TOTAL, including hull.:( Hopefully now with TS3.2 I'll be able to do submodels...

I'll try. Own BFG, and can play it! ;) Mainly Imperial, but I know what the Eldar do....
You know the address....

It reminds me of the Excalibur, does that help? :)
Great ship, me likes.
-
Rap: I'll send you her to play with when I've organised myself!
If anyone can think of a suitable name - I'm going to use Tiara's idea - then let rip!

Name suggestions:
GVSsD Nakhti (Means "strong" in Egyptian)
GVSsD Nefer (Means "Beautiful" in Egyptian)
GVSsD Mery (Means "Beloved" in Egyptian)
GVSsD Khenemet (Means "One who is joined with" in Egyptian)
-
BAH!
GVSsD Necronomicron
GVSsD Indifatigable
GVSsD *unpronouncable Aztec city*
-
I like the Nakhti........cool name! :D Khenemet is also possible.

Yeah, I figured that I was posting the wrong one, but I also figured that a little p1mping never hurt anybody. Especially since I don't have anyone who's interested in getting it in-game. :D ;)

Couldn't come up with anything better... Subspace Destroyer :p
-
Fair enough - but she's corvette sized, and player flyable! :D
