Title: holes in the shields...
Post by: jonskowitz on October 28, 2001, 03:25:00 am
I'm goofing off with my current "waste of time" (while I wait for my *.WAV files to get done) and I was wondering if there was any way to INTENTIONALLY put holes in your shield mesh.

In SCSS the shields were not 100% effective and sometimes would miss depending on certain factors.  To simulate this I want 'holey shileds'.  Does anyone know how to do this?

I dunno if i am right here, but try to flip some faces of the shield mesh.

Or you could just try and make a shield mesh that doesn't cover the entire model.

yup, both should work, but I would do it that way; I make the mesh and delete some polys on the model.
