Yup, all seems to be in order.  Could do with more engine glow on the Cap Ships, and some nebula if you are up for it?

Looks pretty good. Only a few things though:

The engine glows on the capital ships, (deimos, the big ship in the center, awacs really need better engine glows, more brighter. The engine bursts on the Myrmidon are quite good. If I were you, I would add a little glow on them just to make them true to the game, but anyway it is just my opinion. By the way, how did you do the engine bursts if I may ask?

Yet another engine glow critque ;) The fighters in the distance,..I'd suggest reducing their glow. In comparison with the closer fighters, those in the distance have much more of a glow, in fact it's mostly completely glowed over the fighter.

Plus.... you kinna missed half the Demios' engines ;)

For capships, I place an omni light and 'enable' volume light. For the fighters I gave the thruster map a material ID and gave it a glow (lens fx).

I'll fix the capships glows tomorrow. :)

Still not entirely satisfied with the glows, but I'm moving on...

edit: Fixed smily.

A good one. Though you should make the cap engine glows brighter so they'd cover the engine map. At least partially. Adding a little streak to wouldn't hurt too I think. :)

BTW, I've never figured out how to make widescreen in Max.

I agree with Ulundel.  But I like it either way. I like those kind of Renders.

Keep it up. And he has a nouther one on they way right ;)

You know, this would be great for a small movie just watching them fly by.

Wish I could make one.  :(

Actually, no. This is it for now. Though I will try to do renders more often.

Ryx: do the capship engines the same way than you did for the myrms:
place hemispheres on the capship engine exhaust, give it a map with opacity at 0%, same for reflection etc, and give it a glow.

or if the ship has maps assigned for the engines solely, it's even simplier:

see, it works fine :)

Why?  If they were in combat, sure, but default setting for those turrets is vertical. :p
