Title: POF2COB and orbiting turrets

:sigh: When I convert a POF to a COB, PCS likes to reset the turret submodels' center to 0,0,0. I can find no way within Truespace 5 to change the submodel's center, so when I convert it back to a POF the turrets orbit.

I have the hierarchy and all worked out. What can I do so the turrets will rotate how they're supposed to? Can I re-center the submodels, or will I have to strip all the turrets off and returret it? If so, how would I go about doing that?

BTW, I don't have the original COB. I'm trying to fuse together the parts of Dark's Karnak.

ok, that would mean that you will need to reset all centerpoints. barrels of each turret included. the reset button is somewhere along the bottom row of buttons. it's an axis thing next to a cube. select the barrel+attached light and click it. you can then maneuver the axis of the turret barrel to where you want (the barrels "hinge") then select the whole turret and do it again (set it's rotation centre)
just make sure the attached lights are in aproximately the same place as the axis of each light

there should be a move axis and move axis to center button, there has been one in every other version of TS so it has to be in TS5 (I use TS4.2)

Whoop whoop whoop! Karnak's 95% done. All turrets functional, docks and paths OK, and doors you can blow off. The only thing left is fighterbay paths then everyone can have their one-piece Karnak.

I can turret now! That means I can add debris to the Cheops and *gasp* Finish my ESD...
