Title: Time of Change Demo Released
Post by: Tar-Palantir on March 09, 2003, 04:17:57 am
I have come to chew gum and release a Time of Change demo - and I'm all out of gum.

You may take it from this sentence and, indeed the title of this topic, that I have decided to release my demo to 'Time of Change'. This doesn't mean that Act One is any closer to completion, but I want to release the demo. After all, I can update my site (which I haven't done for a while) all I like, but that doesn't mean anything. So I'm releasing the demo.

What can be found?
A 3 mission campaign.
A partial example of a cutscene. Admittedly it's an 'in game' one and the camera doesn't move all that much.
The FS1 Vasudan gauntlet - converted over to FS2. Not exactly the most taxing of tasks, but its bit of extra Freespace to play.

And that's about it. The file is just under 1.4mb in size, a bit large considering but there is a few ships which are need, but aren't in FS2. You can download the demo here: http://www.geocities.com/ackleyfarran/fsdownload.html or go to the Downloads section of the Time of Change website.

The demo's probably really naff for all I know; regardless I would be glad to receive any suggestions for improvement you may have.

I've just noticed (well I noticed it last night) but I left the FS1 weapon sounds in by mistake. Oops! If this is illegal I'll remove I'll up load the zip file again but without them. Also I included the animated GTA command brief logo by mistake. That probably made the file a bit larger than necessary. Oh well.
