Title: Fighting vacation.

Some may have heard about us, some may not have. We are the freaky people who climb into real armor and combat each other. This week I am going on Vacation, to MIssissippi where i will "play" with about 3000 of my closest friends.

Does anyone else here play SCA? if so is anyone going to GW?

Anyway, i leave tomorrow, so you guys take it easy and i'll be back in a week.

My trainer on the other hand got some internal injuries last year, but serious injuries are few and far between, and usually reserved for those of us who like to be "in the thick of it". All of my injuries except for 1 have happened during melee. Most times in a one on one, it's just painful to get hit.

For obvious reasons we don't use live steel weapons. and with that said.....I am off to Vacation. Have a good time people.

Growing up my father was (still is) into the N-SSA (http://www.n-ssa.org) and once I hit fifteen I got involved for about 11 years. Course I wasn't as big on Civil War history as I am with Middle Age history :)

Then again ... we did use live ammo :D
