Title: SF Manticore to GTF Manticore
Post by: Darkage on March 11, 2003, 02:27:29 am: Hehe...i got abit bored yesterday night and started to make a terran version of the SF Manticore. I named it the GTF Manticore:doh!:

Here are 2 screenshots.

The screenshots are from the custom mission.

The mod package contains:
Renamed Pof file
Color changed textures
Color changed Glowmaps ( optional )
A updated TBL entry of the original Manticore ( mainly weapons and engine sound )
A custom mission
And all the interface art.

The interface aint totaly done yet, i'll finish it when i get out of work. Enjoy, the next change wil proberly be a Raksasha cruiser or a bomber. But thats for later.

Sounds like a nice idea, I can imagine a few capture missions based around it.

To dark? they turn up fine at home and here at work.
adjust your monitor brightness.;)

You can make up all sorts of missions:)

The mission i include is protecting a disabled Sobek corvette.

You want a Terran version, you gotta go all the way. Like Dark's GTB Icarus, made from the Seraphim. Or the Sekhmet, a Vasudan version of the Nahema. A recolor isn't going to make it Terran overnight.

I know it's a simple reskin, i also stated that in my first post:rolleyes:

I havent done a mod (how simple it is) in a about 1.5 years so don't start to bash my stuff.

It looks more terran enough to call it that terran. And btw i can't reskin ships i lack the skillz.

I think they wanted to avoid any Borg resemblances when they went with red and black.

Interplay: Uh, that's cool and all, but we just figured that the green and black ships just won't do. You see, they could be mistaken with an alien race from a once-great sci-fi series, that gets its ass kicked every other week. So make it red and black.

On Topic: It's ok. Yea I saw it was simple, but all it really looks like is the same but with blue Glowmaps instead of the shivan red. And black instead of gray.
