I have started work on a sentry gun platform built into an asteroid. It would be useful as it could hide within an asteroid field, and kill anyships that got too close. Useful for pirates and such. Anyway, I have made it in TS2, but am having severe problems with gluing (again), so could someone glue it and them mail it to me at [email protected]
Here's a screenshot from TS:

And here is (http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/14_year_war/PoVBB/ASTER2.scn) the scn file.

Good Idea, though I can't help you, sorry - not a modder).
-
sorry, i cant work out truespace at all.
Looks intresting, though
-
I would, but i can't work Truespace to save my life.
-
I believe Wotja was tryin to answer this thread when he suggested getting Truespace 3.2 (http://download.com.com/3000-2186-10187913.html?tag=lst-0-4)

I would download it, but I am on 56k, so I would have to use a downlaod manager. I have GoZilla, but it's playing silly buggers.
I could go out and buy PCFormat, as its on the discs, but I have no money.
Problems, problems, problems.

Did anyone else get a VBscript error when trying to get the serial code from the link in the readme? :(
-
Working on it. Now I gotta recall the namig conventions PCS uses for auto-turreting multi turrets. :p
-
OK, the page is working again today. /me happy now
-
It's attached in a ZIP. There are COB, POF, and the temp TBL entry I used to test it. The COB, however, is probably trueSpace5 only, so I included a trueSpace 4.3 COB as well. Dunno if that'll help any, but it was the lowest version ts5 will save to.
Here's a badly compressed screenshot of 4, parhaps 5 (hard to tell) asteroid gun platforms inside an asteroid field:

Got Mara?
-
Thanks, sarnie! I'll D/L it tonight and let you know.

I note from that screenshot that the gun barrels are fubared. i got this when I tried to convert it to pof and got it to run. The barrels rotate around a strange point, the result being that they rotate out of the turret, if you catch my drift.

Does that happen in the POF I included in the archive?

I don't know. I haven't tried it yet.

Seriously, GetRight is the best. I've tried Flashget, tried GoZilla, tried DAP - GetRight rules them all. It's like the Google of Download Managers! :p

Only problem is, it crashes immediately on startup for me. At least the others work. :p
-
All download managers suck. Their features ought to be built into MSInternet Explorer.
-
MEH! Getright sux big time... At least for me. DAP all the way. I just run a session of ad-aware and voila, not even spy/adware from it.
I already d/l at very high speeds with double T3 so :ha:

Don't mock me! I'm wearing my trousers back to front!

:wtf: :eek2: :wtf: Are you nutzoid?? That's what Microsoft's been doing for the past 10+ years - incorporating all the good apps into their OS as crappy, half-a$$ed functions. Great idea. Wonderful.

Uhm.... :wtf:

I simply meant, my little cheese grater, that if IExplore had the facility to pause and resume downloads, all would benefit.
With the exception of fileplanet, as they don't allow it anyway.

Good ol' Donwload Manager (http://download.com.com/3000-2071-10190981.html?tag=lst-0-1) is da best
