anyone know how i can make beam turrets for fighters? or do anyone made it?
if i want to make a beam .. i always get a kind of railgun :wtf:

Do you mean a beam on the turret for a bomber, or a beam as a primary weapon.
If it is the latter, then I think Bobbau has got that working, but I'm not sure.

I don't use the new stuff cause it just dosen't work for me (the mod format) I use old 3.1 and sending you (via hotmail) the Aurora cannon , it is a beam primary you should have no trouble adding to your table and editing ships to accept it.. Good luck!

if you want fighter beams to shoot from primaries, yes, do as they say with the source code, but if you want to mount turrets on the thing, you can do that without engine modifications. As with the case with the 158th's Naga ("http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/the158th/dev/narol/nagagray.png") and Yali ("http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/the158th/dev/narol/yali.png"), you can just flag the ship as a "bomber" in ships.tbl and beam-free it in fred and it'll work just fine.

Just their turrets...not the main guns.
