Title: render backgrounds

When i see renders there are beautiful backgrounds of stars.Where can i download star backrounds ?

On about half of renders, these are artificial. I do mine with Lightwave procedurals, but they can be easily enough done in Photoshop or something too.
If you want real star backgrounds, try the NASA website, or shuffle through the immense archives of http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ - some of the pictures are large enough, you have to click them to tell.

I dont download wallpapers anymore because of this little filter.  Thank you flaming pear.

PS: Is it just me or does the fiberousness create woodgrain?

dunno, I just thought it made the nebular gas congeal into filaments :confused:
I made an interesting 1600x1200 render of a planet (with dual light sources hitting it) in a nebula using only flaming pear plugs.  it's not greg martin good (I personally don't like it, save the dual-light dealie) but it's alright.  anyone want to see it?  I'm lazy and probably won't do anything with it...

oh well, whatever :)

You could also use the "noise" tool in PSP or Photshop, but use a greyscale image to do so.
