The Freespace 2 Apocalypse website has been released.
Please tell me what you think over the new website.

There's nothing majorly wrong with it, I suppose. You need to change the header title to something other than 'Navigation 02' though. The layout you're using would be better suited to fitting into a frameset, but it's not a necessity. It'd just make things a bit easier for you, and navigation after scrolling would be easier for the end user.

Do you have Word in English? If so, run your web page text through it, wont fix all the bugs, but it will help to make at least some of it a little clearer. That said, the new interface screens look pretty decent, and a new music track is always good

The overall look is good but man - and I'm not joking here - I can't understand a thing you're trying to say.

Ask someone to help you with that.

Might work if the ascart are little bigger than mice. Otherwise think about making that number smaller.

Colossus : 6km, 30000 personnel.
This would mean that, if all was equal, the Peacemaker would be 20 km with exactly 100000 personnel. One tenth of a million.
Now if it was 10 times wider... :p
I guess it's possible, the Colossus isn't exactly wide. But to build something that big? Ugh...
Let's work it out. I know this is bodged because structural differences would change building style, method, order etc., but anyway:
Colossus - 20 years. Multiply that by 10/3 for added length, then by 10 for added width. At the GTVA technological level when the Colossus was built, the Peacemaker would take roughly 667 years. Ouch.
Smaller ships are obviously the way to go. Well, yeah. Or something. Then again, my calculations are so heavily bodged I wouldn't be surprised if a GTAA Peacemaker popped out of the ground to say hi in a few minutes.

Post by: FreeTerran on March 23, 2003, 12:20:01 pm
I have fixed the bug on my page  the crew of the GTAA Peacemaker was realy 100.000 and not a million.
But the construction has realy 30 years during at the year 2745 are the TERRANS high develop and the ASCARTS are more than the TERRANS develop.

Translates as:
Construction took 30 years during the year 2745 because the terrans have better technology and the ascarts have even better technology.

So tell me this. Why did these Ascarts ally with terrans if they have better technology?

in the website, under downlaods, you show all of the tools from descent networks, i think you should credit them for that. this way, you make it look like it's your own work.

the new interface looks star craft like, not FS2 like. not nescesarily(sp?) a bad thing, but just, different.  your new warp effect looks good.

but i didn't see any real missions yet, i suggest you start working on mission concepts before you start working on mods. perhaps you should make a more detailed storyline first. you won't need to publish it, but i think you should have it.

The main menu seems to be copied from the Babylon Project.
