Can anyone tell me how I can find out whether or not my motherboard supports 8x AGP or 4x. I don't know how to do it through Windows and I wouldn't know what to look for actually inside.

While booting, and its loading hte BIOS, hit the '.' key on the numpad. It'll bring up the bios, the AGP settings are in there.
Any recent(within ~2 years) motherboard has 4x AGP... A lot older motherboards even have it...
[edit] you could also go to your motherboard company's website, and look up info on the motherboard you own. It'll have info there [/edit]
