Quote from: BBC Cult Website
Farscape fans have been knocking Sci Fi Channel Executive Bonnie Hammer's recently stated desire to attract female fans to the network. Angered by comments about attracting "women and non-geek men" to Sci-Fi, Save Farscape campaigners have come up with a novel way of getting publicity to save the show.
Farscape, they argue, had the female fanbase that she is looking for, and to prove their support for the show, they're willing to give up their supports for something rather closer to home. Yes, they're sending bras to Bonnie.
To take part in the campaign the Save Farscape site requests you write something suitable like 'We send our SUPPORT for Farscape'.
They also suggest that wireless bras should be sent so as not to cause mail workers any difficulties and that a Breast Cancer sticker should be attached.
Hopefully this admittedly silly idea will give the Save Farscape campaign an uplift.

I'm not really sure aside from the loliness, if this is the best thing to post in a forum made up of 80% geeks. Who knows what might happen. :nervous:
-
OH. From the thread title I thought this was one of those send-pizza-to-our-troops things.
-
Hehee...sending bras to troops....I also thought it was one of those threads too...:D
You want to save Farscape? Try convincing the producers and the television station. Bras are not going to help much.
-
unless those are some very geeky producers.
-

Of course, the question will remain how many who sent were women, and how many were simply sporting a prize pair of man-breasts after sitting on the couch watching TV and surfing the Internet for five or so years straight.
-
Considering that the majority of the Farscape audience are women.....
-
You know this... how?:wtf:

-
Yeah, hell, I do that anyway. It's not quite the same, but I can always... uh, did I say that out loud? Crap.
