Ok, I need to come up with a name for my campaign and a name for the system it takes place in. I'll give a brief discription of the system:
System: [unknown]
Time: 1 year after the Great War
Discription: This system has baffled terran and vasuaden scientists for decades ever since it's discovery. It contains an anomaly unlike any other system. There are nearly over 100 unknown jumpnodes in the system providing easy transport from one part of the system to the other. This system is as well extremely abundant in asteroid fields. These asteroids are believed to have thousands of new minerals that could be used to construct a magnificent fleet with all new weapons to fight off the next Shivan invasion. However, it seems most vessels dissapear without a trace in this system. However there are no known planets that can support life. The new formed GTVA hopes to use this system as a major mining resource. Due to the presence of a nebula, scientists believe this system to be either a new-forming system or the aftermath of a supernova.

I need a system that isn't on the FS1 star chart. It is an uncharted system in the far reaches in the oposite direction of Gamma Drakonis. I need a new name for the system though. Make sure these names aren't on the map yet please. By the way are the ones u guys mentioned on the star chart?

As for the system name, Nothing beats ETS(Extra-Terran-System)-19. A catalog number before a name or something.
Sounds like a cool campaign. When's its scheduled release date?

(Just a few names of REAL stars that I could think of from memory)

Hmmm... where did u get this from? Is this from a campaigne you made? Did u ever actually show the system?
"Vally of the Shadow Of Death," or even, ETS-19 itself might work.
I also like Bakua.

Well I looked up an astronomy book I had kicking around. Here are a few named planetary nebulae:
Sagitta
Lyra (the Lyre)
Persei
Praesepe (the Beehive)
Vulpecula (the fox)
I quite like Praesepe. Mainly because of it's meaning.

Ermmmmmmmmm... Ok, cranking up the creatives here....
Call it the Terianis Rift, the reason for all the SubSpace nodes are due to massive gravitic anomolies caused by the moderately close proximity to a black hole (Though not close enough to affect the campaign). The asteroids are the remains of a system that has been destroyed by the same gravitic tides?

First of all, the little page with the red arrow on top of each post is a quote button. In case you didn't know.
Secondly, it was before your time. A story thread over on the VBB that featured a system with "a thousand jump nodes."
And one of the largest battles ever written in FS fanfiction history. Eventually it'll be converted to text for us all to read. For now, if you want it, just e-mail me.
