Title: Request/Challenge type thing

I was over on Spacebattles, and one of the threads asked what the biggest fleet battle amoung the Big 3 (Star Wars, Star Trek and Babylon 5) was.  They started, at some point, to mention the amount of time and effort that would be needed for the CG ships and I got an idea for you renders out there to try:

The single biggest Freespace fleet engagment in render history.

Lots of ships, lots of beams, explosions etc, etc.  It would take a while to do well, but I'd love to see one of you guys pull it off (I have no talent in this reguard).  Any one up to it?

I'll let someone with MAX's particle engine handle that one, I don't fancy positioning 500 fighters by hand...:D

There's nothing wrong with BoE syndrome. Fact, it's a good thing if you're not trying to play it.

Exactly. The BoE looks great to watch. It just sucks to play in it. Hmmm. I wouldn`t mind having a go at this. Of course I`ll have to learn to render first :)

Yes, that's the scale of combat I want to see!  Bigger, though, badder, more death, more violence!  Muhahahahahahahaha!

*For those wondering, the final battle of NHOL 3 was the GTVA and allies attempt to throw the Shivans out of the Vega.  To do so, they used every ship in the fleet.  Every drone, every mothballed ship, every transport, everything!  So much, in fact, that there weren't any ships left to defend the GTVA if they failed.  Pure and utter desperation, and they won, barely.
