Title: Help with Autoturret

I carn't get Autoturret to work (ooo, this sounds familiar) It does the turrets and barrels in the subobject part but not in the turret part (it DOES do that right?).
I use TS2 it dosn't use numbers could this be a problem

I don't know how to get autoturret to work eihter...  I usually do that stuff manually anyway.

I guessed but Im lazy and have about 120 or so craft to do (eventualy) most with 20 plus turrets plus sensors, comms, nav, weaps and engines all with destroyed parts so it soon mounts up.

OK, autoturret takes advantage of the lights that define subobjects. Not only does the light terminate the herarchy branch, but it represtens the firepoint, or the location where the beam/laser/etc will originate.

The normal of the turret is calculated by the program drawing a line from the light to the center of the turret's geometry.

So, with all that aside, the turret should be named turret01(optional extra naming stuff here) and the turret's firepoint light should be named turret01-fp(more optional naming stuff).

Kazan will probably come along and correct me on things or explain in more detail something or another; he wrote PCS with the autoturret feature so I think he knows best.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I already knew all that, thnaks for telling me. But the only difference is I use FP instead of your fp and I use letters (TS2). WHAT could be wrong?

Post a screenshot of your TS heirarchy and I'll see if the problem's there.

Yes, I read that - thats what I did and thats what aint working! - its not terrible important but im lazy and auto-firepoints are lazy.
