Should I have the need to get another GBA, it'd probably be an SP. but I'm quite satisfied with my current one. the SP doesn't really look ergonomically comfortable either, compared to the regular.

You said it, I can't get my fingers in a position in which they don't overlap or are comfortable with the SP.  I think it was designed to make the little kids thing that they have some kind of mini-laptop or something.

The thing that bothers me the most about the GBA isn't the size (although I do have my concerns about it...) but rather the fact that it's internal battery is irreplacable, you can't even pop in a pair of AA cells to see you through until you can get to a charger so when it fails (and it will) you'll have no recourse but to buy a new one. Nintendo cite three years before this'll happen but it'll vary depending on how many times it gets recharged. Given the amount of mistreatment they're likely to receive out here in the real world, I'm predicting they'll start failing in large numbers in less than two years.

mmm... that's another aspect, yes. a very important one at that. especially since the nintendo approved repair service in sweden is teh worst.
