[color=66ff00]Wow this got dumb fast...

My friend does Tae Kwon Do Kazan. He thinks it's quite a good way to keep fit, he's a bit nuts though and has already got a few of the sillier movie kicks worked out, most notably the 'Van Damme'. :)

Sounds like you've got quite a tutor there. I've always been more interested in the chinese martial arts but TKD is quite interesting not to mention impressive to watch.

Good luck with it.

I do Ju-Jitsu myself.  Though I tried a few other styles for a while.

I used to take Judo classes, but the girls there would beat on the guys since they knew the guys didn't really like to fight back that much. I got fed up with it in the end :sigh:

That said, I need to take up some form of fighin' again, to impress the navy when I get off my arse and apply... the thought of that much exercise fils me with dread :shaking:

Didn't it use to be the RAF?

Personally, i tend to go for the 'swift boot in the nuts' approach when it comes to fighting.  Followed by the 'run away' approach, and - in dire situations - the '2x4' approach.

If I have to fight someone I would just throw the nearest objects I can find at them. :D

some of the larger ones are particularly heavy, weighing about as much as phone books; here is what a guy on Amazon said at the end of a review for a math book: :D

For those of you that are concerned about home security, G&R is also a weapon. Some people surround themselves with baseball bats or, if they are particularly reckless, a handgun or two... I prefer to keep a fully-loaded G&R by my pillow, which I can hurl at any prowler at a moment's notice. Its shape is surprisingly well adjusted to the hand for the purposes of hurling, and if the covers are bound by a rubber band, the book maintains its shape quite stably as it sails across the room.

Seminar?  This isn't, like, a course at your Uni, is it?

Master [insert western name] just doesn't sound right. It needs to be an oriental name.

:p

Not being funny, I'm all for equal rights an' all, but I ain't about to smack you in the face if you're beating on me. I know a lot of guys who reason 'if she smacks me, I'll smack her right back', but... *shrugs*

Yeah. Decided naval aviation was a better idea though. Want to get me hands on that new plane we're getting, the X-35

All things being equal, I'll apply later in the summer... once my HORRIFIC debts are paid off...

Oh.. updated information on GrandMaster Pak's levels

the ISU Karate Club has branches for each three, then he teaches classes in each, we host the Iowa Games and our own tournament -- and he's the NCTA President

Well, that reason seems fine to me. Though I kick back... hard. I know you shouldn't hit a woman, but the same goes for hitting a man. But if she hits you, you have every right to hit back (Just make sure she doesn't know how to dodge and punch you in the throat like moi) :p
