Well, first still/involving more than one ship render anyway. As you can see, I've started simple - no weapons fire, beams etc. But I did try to remember most of the common render complaints, and address them - the pic has motion blur, the light lines up, etc. etc.
Rendered in Max 3, the engine glows were the only bit of PP, done in PSP 7.
Any comments and/or suggestions would be welcome. BTW, the Twisted Infinities is there as I intended (and still do) it to be a promo render for TI - you start the camp in Perseuses, and the ship up ahead is... technically unreleased for public viewing, so I can't say too much about it really.

Sorry to do this to you but I`m only seeing a red x at the moment.

No, then nebula was Glitterato generated, but it was rendered along with the rest of the image in Max. It had to be, as every time I moved anything, I had to reorient my lights to the BG. So, it's not exactly Post Production, but sort of pre production :D.
And it's not a reskinned Orion Silver wolf :) It's a lot closer than an Orion of that size would be. Those two tubes underneath are a single, fairly standard sized multipart turret. Tis in fact another one of Flipside's (who is definitely one of the most underknown model and texture whizzes in the community) brilliant TI mods, but as for specs and stuf - well, you'll need to wait for OR :D.

I use that trick too :D

You said you used Glitterato for the background? Change the scale of the stars, big bright ones aren't pretty.
However, engine glows are especially good, i like them.

Edit: ...following a few test...
W00T FOR THE .TXT EXTENSIONS!!!!!!

Why didn't you try some volumetric light in MAX ?
The render is very good.
The only note is that the fog (nebula) seems to be in the background in most of the area, except the bottom left corner, where it seems to have been stirred up by the fighter. It somehow draws the attention to there.
Nice work.
