Not sure if this has been implemented yet as I haven't been following too closely. I was thinking that it'd be somewhat useful if the player didn't have to be Alpha wing (or at least FS2 goes screwy if you choose a wing other than that) and if you could have more than the few wings allowed to customize (you can only customize up to gamma iirc). Would open up a few mission and campaign options(squad leaders should be allowed to edit all of their wings, no?).

This would be somewhat complicated. Currently it IS possible to have the player as another ship in A, B or G. Getting other wings on the loadout screen is more complicated as it would require interface art changes.

Personally, I think this should all fall under the ability to set any three wings as the player starts. Should make lots and lots of possibilities in one concentrated effort instead of a bunch of little random hacks everywhere.
