:nervous: Are there any active FreeSpace players still out there? :wtf:
-
Well I hope you mean multiplay. And by active, no. There are a few regulars I think, but more or less, I heard it's dead.
-
I occasionally take a peek at what's going on... haven't been on multi much lately but I have been doing some of the user-made single campaigns, which are loads of fun anyways. :D
-
Ooh, that's right... there's a MULTIPLAYER mode... I'll have to try that. :nervous:
Is anyone up for a game right now? I'll host...
-
I would, but high pings slaughter me everytime.
-
i play Freespace but not mutiplayer tried once never worked.
-
:wtf:
PXO is the best
*is rare online player*
-
Used to, but... no.
I just finished Warzone for upteenth time though.
-
I once played on PXO and got shafted.....maybe because I'm on a 56k in the UK.....
-
@PXO every Fri and/or Sat night.
Yep, the activity has been decreasing slowly, but it usually isn't too hard to catch a game at those times.
-
i used to as well but my squad died right now we're wondering if we could revive it through freelancer
-
I tried to register the PXO, but 'TopAce' already exists, and I do not want to change my name.:ick
-
You can register on PXO with whatever name you want. It's your pilot name in the barracks that shows up in the game.
-
I had a bunch of people on PXO kick me just because I forgot to rename the FSPort VP, kind of killed off my desire to use multiplayer.
-
I had that done to me when I had Derelict installed. Despite my trying to explain they just booted me.
I think there's a line between the PXOers and the HLPers. There seem to be a lot of PXO players who don't know that FS mods/campaigns even exist!

on the VBB they said to do a double install so you could mod and Multiplayer, but even then few people had 40Gig Hd's...

Yeah but that is rather poor advice. I followed that once myself but soon found that renaming data directories and .vp files was almost as simple and much less wasteful.
