I'm trying to stretch a few polys and maybe move a few points around. Why does Truespace make this so hard for me?
All I want is a tool to select polygons. I have one to band-box polys which are facing me, but it won't select ones which are facing away from me. I found the wipe selector, but I can only wipe so much before I have to rotate the model, at which point my selection is forgotten. The less said about the lasso tool the better.
So here I am, asking you lot. And until someone signs up as the model dude for the S:AAB project, I'm going to keep on asking stuff like this until your brains melt. See if I don't.

Have you tried using CTRL (or is it shift, I can`t remember unless I`m actually using TS) when selecting. That lets you pick some faces then rotate then pick some more. Not ideal but it does work.

right click on an icon will show the options of the tool.........
including backfaces selection..............

Well so it does. Cheers Karma, but don't go anywhere - I'll be back with more questions soon

OK, that's it. I cannot do this model stuff. I need someone to help me. I mean FFS, even Free Terran got half a dozen people to join his project after two weeks at HLP. All I'm looking for is one modeller. Will someone PLEASE sign up, I CANNOT do this entire thing by myself.

We should form a non-modellers' guild.;7

DG, you can send me small commissions, but nothing big, okay? I've got my own TC to do and that's taking up a lot of brainpower! :D
If you send me a ship to model, I'll need a LOT of reference material - at least a picture of every angle. :)

There is something really funny about this topic's title.
Truespace for idiots
hm...how about you add isn't between Truespace and for and add like me at the end of the sentence. It would make it somehow....complete.

trueSpace does have an annoying interface - but those of us (like Tomcat and myself) who have persevered to get through it have found wonders underneath! :D
