OK... I seem to be getting a bit **** load of IE6 fatal errors today. I'm posting this through a remote desktop, and it seems alright, but just to double check is any one else getting fatal errors when they click on threads?

From time to time IE crashes when I go into page 3+ of a long thread direct from the overview screen. oddly If i go to the first page and flick through it dosen't crash. That's not happening today though. :nervous: yet
-
More people reported similar problems, and I'm looking into it - wasn't able to replicate the problem so far, though.
-
Yeah, same here. I thought it was just me. When I click on Reply I get this error message. If I say No, it takes me here normally.

Wonder what the problem is...

i used to get those everytime, but now i just get them oce in a while. is you watch the numbers, you see they're rather specific, it gives a different number when you click quote instead of reply, edit, post new thread, and that kinda thing. i made a post in the request thread about it.
-
Nothing here....
What OS is everyone running it on?
-
XP. I'll see if it happens on other websites, but it might be just a HLP problem.
-
I have 98 and in the next week became i xp pro.
-
I was having the same trouble - it's gone now, though. Only happened on certain bits of the HLP forums.
-
Let this be a lesson to use IE5.
-
no problems ere

yeah, i get those messages on some computers at school, and others not. i don't know why it is though.. just click "NO" and continue :D
-
Funny thing. I used to get that Error message before, but now, I don't get it at all.
-
I'm not talking about run-time errors. Those I could cope with. I mean fatal errors, whereby IE6 closes itself and asks about sennding an error report. XP Pro, by the way.

If the problem persists, I'll prolly give Opera a whirl... or this cool little DOS web browser I found ;7

Drops a steel beam on DG's head and burries him 20 meters in the ground. Hey, I didn't provoke you in any way, so you asked for this yourself. :D

I'm sure you meant to use an anvil. That would have been mildly amusing - the old ones are the best
I'll let you off, though, because I'm told I have to be nice to you from now on

I'm gonna stop there, though. I've been told I can't set people on fire any more.
-
Nobody told me I couldn't.
:Busts out Molotov, lights it, and hurls it into the topic sending everyone screaming:

Glow tags? I remember hearing something about that some time ago... another totally non-standard IE-only CSS tag, if I recall correctly? Great...

One happy Opera user here too. It loads the fastest out of all my browsers (the main reason I don't use mozilla much - long loading times, or continuous RAM usage if you want to make it load quicker), and I've never had a problem with it. On some older versions it crashed sometimes (nowhere near as much as IE), but it doesn't matter a jot, you just start it again and it goes back to where you were before. It even remembers what to put in 'back' and 'forward'...

Yeah... you really can't aim much if you don't have a head.

Bleh...why do I even bother to shoot at a brain eater. Drops a C4, leaves peacefully, goes to the exit, bails and detonates.

Here. Do what you like with them.
-
Me drunk? You're the one who manages to stumble over "wild".:p

Hmm... I've been a-surfin' happily everywhere else. It definitely seems like it's only HLP that's causing/has the problem - though like I said I can acess HLP with no problems using the server downstairs via remote desktop... odd.
