'Lo SCP guys. Radar dishes, then. Is it possible they could be made to rotate in the other direction?
------------------
Diamond Geezer has no musical ability whatsoever
-
I know there is a good reason for this. I have no doubt whatsoever that there is a good reason for this. The fact that I can think of no good reason for this thast isn't incredibly nit pickish (and therefore not good) does not deter me from the certain knoledge I possess of a good reason.
---------------------
Black Wolf is sure that Diamond Geezer will provide a good reason within a relatively short space of time

you can already-just stick a minus sign in the radar's submodel rotation value in it's properties, ie (fenris radar)
$special=subsystem
$name=Radar dish
$rotate=5.1
would be:
$special=subsystem
$name=Radar dish
$rotate=-5.1
that's how the knossos works anyway....
-
I'd have thought that was obvious.
Negative numberscan have great effect in FS, think of a negative afterburner max. vel. ;7

Ah, yes... good point. Okay, everyone stop looking at the thread now :nervous:

Diamond Geezer is arachnaphobic

Has anyone ever actually made a ship with something rotating in a big way?

I think Woo has an old Ancient juggernaut with a rotating ring in the middle...
And then there's the Apocalypse...
-
The Faustus has that solar panel doo-hickey, and we at the TVWP have the Exos.
BTW, does anyone else think the Faustus would make a good AWACS test-bed?

I think the Omega from TBP will have to have a rotating midsection.
The problem with big rotating systems is that you can`t turret them (unless the SCP guys have fixed that bug)
-
Golgotha's got that reasonably big rotating thing on it.

And the bromios! Don't forget about Bromios!
