Hi All,
Anyone know of a export plugin for 3dStudio MAX r3.1 that will export a .3ds file without screwing up the placement of subobjects?
-
yes: 3dsmax r3.1 :รพ
go into file/export and choose the .3ds exporter.
Then I recommand you use 3d exploration to convert the 3ds file to a cob, otherwise TS may ( almost always, but sometimes it does, dunno why) screw up the placement of subobjects. dE always mess the direct max to cob conversion, so export as 3ds first.

I thought the 3ds was screwed before I imported it to Truespace. Certainly it was screwed up in a 3d viewer prog I tried.
Isn't 3d exploration lots of cash now?

dunno, I have a old demo of it, the only limit: two buttons to push when I kaunch and quit the prog, plus I can only see 5 files in a raw, then I have to quit and restart. not really annoying.
